The intent of the Ulster Project is to break down the walls of intolerance and mistrust that exist in Northern Ireland. It was created through the efforts of like-minded peace seekers who strive towards the ultimate goal of creating a community of peace through fostering tolerance, understanding and friendship. The Ulster Project focuses on changing the perception of Ireland's youth by bringing them together in a strife-free atmosphere that emphasizes acceptance of all people, regardless of creed.

Mission Statements

Ulster Project International Mission Statement:

The Mission of the Ulster Project is to help young, Christian based potential leaders from Northern Ireland and the United States become peacemakers by providing a safe environment to learn by practicing the skills needed to unite people when differences divide them.

Ulster Project - New Orleans Area Mission Statement:

The mission of the Ulster Project – New Orleans Area, is to work for real peace in Northern Ireland, to create a deeper understanding in the United States of the issues which have inhibited peace there, and to recognize similar situations in America.  The pursuit of the mission comes through building an increasingly inclusive and cohesive community among all the diverse participants from both Northern Ireland and the U.S., especially between those two geographically separated but pared areas in from which Ulster Project people share common aspirations.
